Brasilia – The traffic at the Brasilia international airport increased this Sunday morning. Many foreign delegations arrived in parties for the Summit of South American and Arab Countries. One of the first to arrive was the minister of Foreign Affairs from Tunisia, Abdelbaki Hermassi, followed by the deputy Foreign Relations Minister of Peru, Armando Lecaros.
At the end of the morning, arrived at the Brazilian capital the Syrian minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Benaïssa, and the prime minister Mohammad Naji Al Otri. Representatives form Mauritania, Jordan and Kuwait are also in the city. Escorted by the military and road police, the delegations were taken in official cars that were waiting in the airports lanes.
The Syrian party chose an alternative exit, located in the limits of the runway. Before leaving, the prime minister talked to Brazilian and Lebanese entrepreneurs for 10 minutes at the VIP room. "As an engineer, the prime minister was interested in knowing how long ago Brasilia was built. He found the Lake very interesting," says Ahmad Yahya, businessman in the building sector.
From the Egyptian delegation, a group of 20 interpreters arrived this Sunday. Amongst them, Suzane Abulferag. For the first time in Brasilia, she hoped to get the chance to know the city. A microbus should take the interpreters for a ride today. At the Summit, Egyptian representatives plan on communicating with the Latin Americans. "Many businessmen came in the delegation and will probably need our help," says Suzane.
