Foreign minister of Brazil defends idea of including an Arab country in UN Security Council
The Brazilian minister of Foreign Relations stated that the entry of an Arab country to the organisation should be evaluated. Amorim defended this idea soon after a journey to five African countries. One of the proposals for reform in the Council suggests the opening of six new permanent seats, two destined for Africa and the other four for Asia, Europe and the Americas.
