São Paulo – A total of 870 foreign visitors registered themselves with the International Bureau of Agrishow, an agribusiness trade fair held from May 2nd to 6th in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Most of the foreigners were from Venezuela (111 people), followed by Argentina (82), the United States (66), Colombia (58) and Mexico (44).
The International Bureau was established by Reed Exhibitions Alcântara Machado and the Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association (Abimaq) with support from the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) aiming to identify and assess foreign visitors at Agrishow 2011.
The fair also included business roundtables, and a quick survey was conducted among international participants. The figures have not yet been compiled, but according to the research team, the first words that spring to the minds of foreign visitors when it comes to Brazilian machinery are technology and quality.
