Brasília – US dollar outflows from Brazil have exceeded inflows by US$ 1.9 bn in the first week of September, according to figures released by the Brazilian Central Bank this Wednesday (10th). Year-to-date through September 5th, the foreign exchange flow was negative by US$ 2.6 billion.
In the first week of September, financial operations (investment in bonds, profit and dividend remittances to foreign countries and foreign direct investment, among other operations) posted a US$ 1.483 billion deficit, and export- and import –related exchange operations showed a US$ 416 million deficit.
