São Paulo – This Monday (24th), the French government announced a donation of 10 million euro to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The announcement was made in New York during a meeting of the main donor countries to Palestine.
In a press statement, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that this is the second time this year that the country donates 10 million euros to Palestine. The first donation was made in June, during a visit of the PNA president Mahmoud Abbas to Paris. Since 2007, 105 million euros have been donated.
In addition to the donation to Palestine, France has set up a 152 million euro loan to Jordan. According to the Kuwaiti news agency Kuna, the funds will be spent on financing the Jordanian budget deficit.
