São Paulo – The Research Support Institution of the Distrito Federal launched a US$ 2.7 million program today (3) in order to cover the research costs for the development of innovative products, processes and services. The federal government and the Distrito Federal, state in midwestern Brazil where country capital Brasília is located, will finance this project, which will take place in 2005 and 2006.
The aim is to allow small and medium entrepreneurs to create new products, and so improve their market position, even considering all daily difficulties such as financial problems and competition.
