São Paulo – The global trade of goods increased 0.7% in Q1 this year. Exports in the world went up 0.4% while imports increased 0.9% over the previous quarter. The data was released this Wednesday (24th) by the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Exports from emerging and developing countries increased 1.5% in Q1 this year. Meanwhile, exports from developed countries dropped 0.5% in the same period, with the United States standing out and registering a decline of 4.5% in external sales.
Imports from emerging and developing countries increased 0.6% in Q1 2015, while imports from developed countries went up 1.3%, led by stronger import growth in Europe and North America.
