São Paulo – São Paulo International Airpot (GRU Airport), in Guarulhos, received almost 3 million passengers in September, growth of 6.2% over the same month in 2012, according to information disclosed on Wednesday (7) by the company that manages the terminal.
From January to September, GRU Airport received over 26 million people, growth of 7.2% in comparison with the same period last year. According to the company, 16.83 million people flew on domestic flights and 9.28 million people on international flights, with respective growth of 6.8% and 7.8% over the first nine months of 2012.
In September, according to the company, 23,800 aircraft movements (arrivals and departures) took place, growth of 5.6% over the same month last year. In the accumulated result for 2013, there were 209,000 aircraft movements, growth of 1.51% over the same period in 2012.
