São Paulo – Passenger throughput at the São Paulo International Airport (GRU), located in Guarulhos, Greater São Paulo, was up 10% last year compared with 2013. In 2014, 39.539 million people used the airport. The information was released this Monday (19th) by the airport’s managing company.
In December alone, throughput was 3.562 million passengers, up 5.1% from December 2013. On December 23rd, the airport had its highest throughput ever at 129,822 passengers.
The number of flights was up 7.2% last year from 2013, to 304,559 arrivals and departures. In December, 26,671 flights arrived or departed from the São Paulo International Airport, up 1.6% from December 2013.
