São Paulo – The Brazilian Association of the Industry of Medical, Dental, Hospital and Laboratory Articles and Equipment (Abimo) has released this Thursday (6th) an overview of the participation of Brazilian enterprises in Arab Health, a healthcare fair held from January 27th to 30th in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
According to the association, deals worth a combined US$ 1.2 million were closed, the highest amount out of 12 editions with Brazilian participation. Based on the contacts made during the fair, the Abimo believes the total value of orders placed may exceed US$ 17 million over the next 12 months.
“The companies have described this as the fair’s best edition ever,” said Clara Porto, the commercial promotion coordinator for Abimo, according to a press release from the association.
The event featured 38 Brazilian companies, which, according to Abimo, sat meetings with businessmen from over 80 countries. Deals were closed with importers from Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Emirates, Iran, Turkey, Sudan, Morocco, Canada, Qatar, Oman, India, Armenia, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
The fair received over 120,000 visitors, according to Abimo. The Brazilian participation was arranged via a project of Abimo’s in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex), called Brazilian Health Devices. Next year, the event will run from January 26th to 29th.
