São Paulo – Moto Honda Amazon, a subsidiary of the Japanese assembly company installed in Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas (N), announced today (16) that it achieved record high sales in the first quarter. According to the company, 718,421 motorcycles manufactured in Brazil were sold, growth of 18.9% in comparison with the same period last year.
With regard to imported motorcycles, 2,475 units were sold in the first six months of the year, growth of 178.7% over the same period of 2007, also according to the company.
In terms of production, a total of 819,645 motorcycles left the factory in the first half, growth of 22.6% compared with the period from January to June last year.
