São Paulo – Honda disclosed yesterday (9th) that it has reached the figure of 13 million motorcycles produced in Brazil. The Japanese carmaker started operating in the country in 1976.
The enterprise produces 13 models of motorbikes in Manaus, in Amazonas state. The vehicles range from 100 to 750 cc engines, including the CG 150 Titan Mix, the first dual-fuel motorcycle to be produced commercially. As is the case with "flex fuel", it operates both on alcohol, petrol or any mixture of both fuels.
In its first year in operation in Brazil, Honda produced 2,200 units. Currently the factory has four assembly lines and production capacity of 2 million motorcycles a year.
