Rio de Janeiro – The indicator Household Consumption Demand (ICF) went up 2.4% from September to October of this year, according to the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). This is the fourth consecutive increase seen by the indicator from one month to the other. In comparison to October of last year, however, there was a drop of 5.7%, the 46th decline in this specific comparison.
In comparison to September of this year, seven topics surveyed had an increase, with the highlights being consumption outlook (7.9%), followed by the moment fir the purchase of durable goods (3.4%). The other topics had the following growth rates: current consumption level (2.3%), purchases in installments (2.2%), current income (1.7%), career prospects (1.4%) and current job post (0.8%).
In comparison to October of last year, only two topics improved: career prospects (0.8%) and consumption outlook (0.7%). The current consumption level indicator had the sharpest decline (-17.6%) among the five topic with worst performances.
