Rio de Janeiro – The holiday season prompted a 2.6% increase in Household Consumption Intent in December from November, the National Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC) reported this Thursday (15).
Compared with December of last year, consumption intent was down 0.3%. In absolute terms, the indicator reached 76.2, on a scale whereby scores lower than 100 show dissatisfaction.
The indicator that gauges current household consumption levels slid by 5.3% over December 2015, and climbed by 5.7% over November 2016. The year-end holidays were named by the CNC as the growth’s drivers.
