São Paulo – Thomas Dawson, spokesman for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) affirmed this Friday (18) that he trusts in Brazilian economic recovery and believes it can grow approximately 3.5% this year.
Brazil has maintained, since September 2002, a US$ 40 billion program with the IMF and authorities do not intend to renew it in March 2005, when it ends.
"Our view on the Brazilian program has always been clear in terms of its strong return," said Dawson in a press conference.
