São Paulo – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrange a meeting with the new Libyan leaders to assess the country’s financing needs. The information was disclosed by the African news agency Panapress .
The institution has not set a date for the meeting yet, it has only announced that it will happen soon. “A meeting will soon bring together the Libyan authorities and the IMF,” said the IMF spokesperson, David Hawley.
According to him, the topics of the meeting will be the country’s ability to manage public finance, financing needs, and assistance to the Libyan Central Bank’s payments and operations system.
