Rio de Janeiro – The Brazilian industry’s output was down 1% in September compared with August, according to the Monthly Industrial Survey released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) this Thursday (1st).
Compared with September of last year, industry output was down 3.8%. In the three-month period ended September, output was up 0.4% from the preceding period.
In the nine-month period ended September, output was down 3.5% from the same period in 2011. In the last 12 months, industrial production decreased by 3.1%.
