Brasília – The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) released this Thursday (17) the survey Industrial Poll containing data from February. It shows that output went from 39.7 points to 42.2 points. Another indicator that measures the number of employees went from 41.4 points to 42.8 points. By CNI’s criteria, the indexes go from zero to one hundred points, with values below 50 points indicating retraction of activity and employment.
In February, industry operated, on average, with 62% of installed capacity. In the comparison with February 2015, the percentage shows 4 less points, says CNI. Data also shows that inventories remained at the planned level, with the index signaling 49.7 points, close to the 50 points-line. There was a decrease in pessimism, but the outlook presented by business owners for March and the next six months remain negative. The demand expectation index went up from 45.6 points to 46.9 points in the period and purchases of input went from 43.6 points to 45.2 points.
