Rio de Janeiro – Brazilian industrial production dropped 0.2% in April this year as against the same month last year. The figure is in the Monthly Industrial Study, disclosed on Thursday (31) by the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
This is the second consecutive negative result in the monthly comparison. In March, there was a 0.5% reduction. With regard to April last year, there was a reduction of 2.9%.
In the year, industry accumulates a reduction of 2.8% in production. Over the last 12 months, the reduction is 1.1%.
