Brasília – The Industrialist Confidence Index climbed 0.9 point in October from September to 53.7 points. The indicator was up 4.1 points in the four months through October. The numbers were made public this Friday (19) by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).
The index ranges from 0 to 100, and scores higher than 50 show an optimistic outlook. The all-time average is 54.1 points.
“Despite a sequence of good results, the index is 1.8 point lower than in May 2018, prior to the transportation workers strike. The Industrialist Confidence Index in October is still down 0.4 point from its all-time average, and down 2.3 points from October 2017,” a CNI report reads.
