Rio de Janeiro – The Industry Confidence Index (ICI) went from 76.2 points in October to 74.3 points in November of 2015, revealed a survey by The Brazilian Institute of Economics (Ibre) of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) released this Monday (23rd). The decline, which is a preview (preliminary version) of November, was of 1.9 points.
The lower the index, whose maximum score is 100 points, the higher the pessimism of the industry over the current situation and the intention to new investments. In October, there was an increase of 3.1 points in consumers’ confidence. The decline of the index in November was due to a worsening of expectations over the following months: the Expectations Index (IE) declined 4.4 points, reaching 73.5. Meanwhile, the Current Situation Index (ISA) increased 0.7 points over October, reaching 75.5 points.
