Rio de Janeiro – Even if it remained practically stable when expanding only 0.1% from January to February, the Brazilian industrial production ended February, in the seasonally-adjusted series, registering a growth in nine of 14 areas surveyed by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
According to data from the Monthly Survey of Industry – Regional Physical Production made available this Tuesday (11) in Rio de Janeiro, with industry’s reports by regions, the highest expansion was seen in Bahia, with 2.8%, and Santa Catarina, with 2.8% growth.
Santa Catarina registered the fourth consecutive month of growth, with a total expansion of 7.4%. On the other hand, the expansion registered by Bahia was in contrast with the 4.2% decline seen in January.
