Rio de Janeiro – Up until November, Brazilian Industrial Production had a cumulative decline of 7.1% according to the Monthly Survey of Industry – Physical Production (PIM-PF), which was made available this Thursday (5) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
In November, industrial production went up 0.2% over October, but declined 1.1% in the comparison to the same month of 2015, in the series without seasonal adjustment. It was the 33rd negative consecutive rate in comparison to the same month of the previous year, although less intense since the -0.4% registered in March 2014.
Year-over-year, the indicator also declined less sharply: it dropped 7.5% against the 8.4% fall registered in October.
