Brasília – The Brazilian industry recovered from losses in revenue stemming from the trucker strike in June. So said the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) in releasing monthly indicators on Wednesday (1st). Seasonally adjusted real revenue climbed 26.4% in June from May, offsetting the 16.7% drop seen in May.
“The pronounced hike in revenue must be looked at with caution. This exceptional result is explained by the fact that shipping is no longer being held back,” the CNI said. Despite the rebound, Q2 was weaker than Q1, with a 2.7% drop in revenue.
Year-on-year in June, revenue was up 10.2%. H1 saw 4.4% growth year-on-year.
