Brasília – Brazilian industry revenue dropped 3.3% in October from September, according to the seasonally-adjusted Industrial Indicators survey issued this Thursday (1st) by the National Federation of Industry. This was the fourth straight monthly decline. Year-on-year in October, revenue plummeted by 18%.
All indicators tracked in the survey showed a decline in October from September. Hours worked in manufacturing slid 1.7% to the lowest level since record-keeping began, in 2003. Industry employment fell by 0.6%, for the 21st straight month. The survey also shows that total real wages paid were down 1.4% in October from September.
