Brasília – The activity level of the Brazilian industry declined again in April, with a 76.9% utilization rate of the installed capacity, the lowest level since record-keeping began in 2002, according to a survey by the National Federation of Industry (CNI) released this Thursday (2).
The result represents a decline against the utilization rate of the installed capacity registered in March (77.2%) and also against April of last year, when it registered 79.8%.
The survey of industry indicators done by CNI confirms other negative statistics of the sector, showing a decline in the number of jobs for the 15th consecutive month. The industry’s profit decline 0.6% in April over March and 9.9% in comparison to the same month in the previous year.
