São Paulo – A OSE (Open Systems Engineering), an information technology company in the city of Uberlândia, in the interior of the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, wants to follow up contacts made in Algeria during a trade mission led by the Brazilian minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, in November.
This week the company intends to send to Algeria, through the Brazilian embassy in Algiers, material showing the banking automation and telecommunications systems developed by the company.
The trip to Algeria was the first OSE participation in a mission by the Brazilian government. "The balance was very positive, and now we are going to follow up the contacts," stated André Zandonadi, the company marketing and sales director, who represented the organization on the delegation.
In Algiers, he participated in a meeting between Furlan and the Algerian minister of Finance, Mourad Medelci. At the occasion, Medelci stated that his country is interested in systems produced in Brazil, among them banking automation and electronic governance systems.
OSE is part of a software export program developed by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex). "We are beginning the export process," stated Zandonadi.
According to him, the company is beginning sales of broadband Internet and mobile telephony systems to other countries in South America and is interested not only in Algeria, but also in the markets of other Arab countries. "Our solutions may answer to the demand of any place," he guaranteed.
Apart form the headquarters in Uberlândia, OSE has offices in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, two large business centres in southeastern Brazil. The company, established in 1997, employs 20 people.
