São Paulo – The third edition of the International Business Roundtable, to be held during the Expofruit 2005, International Trade Fair of Irrigated Tropical Fruit Growing, in the city of Mossoró, in the northern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte, between the 21st and 22nd of October, should generate US$ 20 million. This information was disclosed today (18) by the Brazilian Fruit Institute (Ibraf).
Buyers from Italy, Belgium, Spain, France, Holland, Germany, Norway, Serbia, Czech Republic and Brazil will participate in the meetings with the tropical fruit producers in the state. The aim of the roundtable is to improve direct access between the importers and the producers, as well as allowing for a reduction in costs.
The roundtable will be promoted by the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) in Rio Grande do Norte and the PhytoSanitation Committee of Rio Grande do Norte (COEX). The event counts on a partnership with the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex) and the Ibraf.
