São Paulo – Gerdau group, in the iron sector, inaugurated today (9) their thirtieth smelter. The unit has been installed in the city of Araçariguama, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, and will produce 350,000 tonnes this year. Most of the production will be steel bars for construction, for use in the southeastern state. The factory should produce around 900,000 tonnes per year.
