São Paulo – Saudis and Jordanians decided to facilitate the movement of people and goods between their nations. The goal is to improve trade and economic exchange between countries. According to SPA, Saudi Arabia’s official news agency, the joint Jordanian-Saudi technical committee for land transport concluded its meetings this Monday (14).
The teams were chaired on the Saudi side by the Undersecretary of Land Transport of the Transport General Authority, Abdulmajid Mousa Al-Tassan, and on the Jordanian by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Wissam Tahtamoni. Representatives of different ministries and organizations involved in the sector from both countries also participated.
The meetings took place over two days. Al-Tassan explained the commission discussed the challenges faced by logistics companies and licensees in land transport. The Saudi undersecretary stated the commission agreed on a set of measures to facilitate procedures and boost the movement of passengers and goods.
SPA also reported Jordan’s Tahtamoni said the Jordanian Ministry of Transport, in cooperation with the General Transport Authority, seeks to integrate and overcome all challenges faced by the movement of passengers and goods between the two countries and their reflection in the trade exchange.
