São Paulo – On March 1st and 2nd, Amman, the capital of Jordan, should host the 14th Conference for Arab Investors and Businesspeople, to have as its main theme "Investment in Jordan: Promising Opportunities". The event should cover investment opportunities in the sectors of energy, tourism, health, real estate and finance.
The organizers of the event are the League of Arab States, the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce.
On the first day of the event, speakers will cover investment opportunities in the Arab countries as a whole, but the emphasis, according to the organizers, is Jordan. The first panel should focus on the economic climate and investment in the Arab world, followed by investment opportunities in Jordan and opportunities in the sectors of tourism and medical tourism.
On the second day of the conference, the panels should cover opportunities in the banking, financial and real estate sectors, followed by a panel on investment in industry, energy and renewable energy. Lastly, opportunities will be presented in the sectors of transportation and communications.
The event is open to businessmen and investors on all continents. According to figures disclosed on the conference site, the objective of the meeting is to create opportunities for businessmen and the government to establish partnerships and agreements in all sectors presented.
The secretary general at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, was invited to participate in the event. He will not participate in any of the panels, but plans to bring to Brazil the opportunities presented at the conference, which he will show to Brazilian businessmen.
