São Paulo – Brazil-Arab News Agency’s (ANBA, in the Portuguese acronym) reporter Aurea Santos will lecture this Wednesday (9th) to students at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In the event, which is open to the public, she will talk about her experience in Arabic language learning.
Santos started studying the language at the Arab-Syrian Cultural Center (Centro Cultural Árabe Sírio, in Portuguese). After four years, the journalist went to Morocco and lived there for six months to acquire more vocabulary and fluency in the language. There, she attended the Qalam wa Lawh school, specialized in the teaching of Arabic for foreigners.
In the lecture, the reporter will explain the best methods to learn the language, the difficulties in its study and will provide hints to help the willing students to speak Arabic.
