São Paulo – The king of Morocco, Mohammed VI, sent out a letter of condolence to the Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, for the crash of Air France flight 447, which used to fly the route between Rio de Janeiro and Paris. The information was supplied by the Moroccan embassy in the Brazilian capital, Brasília. The accident occurred in the evening of May 31st.
In his letter, the king claimed that he is “profoundly shocked and saddened” by the crash “which caused a great many casualties, including many Brazilians.” Mohammed VI offered his condolences to the Brazilian president, the bereaved families, and the people of Brazil.
“May Almighty God bless the souls of the victims, comfort their families and spare you and your country any further misfortune,” said the monarch. “Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the bereaved,” he finished off.
