São Paulo – Consultancy company KPMG disclosed on Friday (10) that revenues reached R$ 662 million (US$ 361 million) in 2011, 23% greater than the R$ 538 million (US$ 312 million) registered in 2010. The company, however, did not disclose whether it made a profit or loss in the period.
Global revenues rose 10.1% last year and reached US$ 22.7 billion. According to figures for the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2011, the number of KPMG employees in Brazil has also grown. The consultancy company ended the year with 3,931 employees hired. One year before, 2,683 people made up the company’s staff in the country.
KPMG is made up of member companies, which are independent, but are affiliated to KPMG International Cooperative. These companies provide consultancy and audit services in the name of KPMG in 152 countries. In Brazil, the company is present in 21 cities in 12 states, including the Federal District.
