The 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was celebrated on Tuesday (11) in Brasília in an event held by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Brazil. Mariam Almheiri, who served as the minister of climate change and environment in the Arab country, participated.

A Portuguese-Arabic illustrated practical guide by Norma Simão Adad Mirandola was launched last weekend by Adonis publishing house. The book first started as a word list created by Mirandola to help her daughter learn Arabic. They are Syrian descendants.
