São Paulo – Lebanese company Octogone, from Beirut, is among the 80 international buyers invited by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Brazilian Association of Ceramic Tile Manufacturers (Anfacer) to participate in the Revestir, the facing sector fair to take place between March 9th and 12th, in São Paulo.
The companies invited to the fair are going to participate in business roundtables with over 70 Brazilian companies that make ceramics and facing. The meetings are part of the Brazil Ceramic Tiles program, for promotion of Brazilian ceramic tile exports.
The Revestir fair, the largest in Latin America, should receive 200 exhibitors and over 45,000 visitors. The event should bring novelties in tiling for engineering, architecture and decoration projects. The organisers expect that the fair should generate US$ 150 million in business, expansion of 7% over last year’s edition.
The quantity of exhibitors, the quality of products presented and the daily talks promoted at the forum in the sidelines of the event should make Revestir the “Fashion Week of Architecture and Construction”, according to the organizers. In this edition of the fair, the 8th International Architecture and Construction Forum brings specialists from Italy, the United States, Portugal, Argentina and the Netherlands, as well as Brazilians.
Inspired on Dubai
A large part of the exhibitors at Revestir are bringing mosaics as novelties for facing. Company Pietra, of cement facing, should launch a line inspired on the modern and daring constructions of Dubai. The shadows between floors and panels on walls and mosaics should transmit a sensation of movement in internal and external environments.
Artistic glass mosaics in the Sicic collection, by company Eliane, should also be presented at Revestir. The company disclosed that these mosaics are already included in international architecture of several enterprises, among them the Burj Al Arab hotel, in Dubai.
Another company that brings novelties in mosaics is Cerâmica Antigua, which is going to present the Mosaico Caco line, which uses recycled tiles in its production.
