São Paulo – The government of Libya has officially communicated that administrative institutions in the country will have two resting days a week, instead of just on Friday. This information was disclosed by African news agency Panapress. The decision should reach ministries, public service organisations as well as other administrative spheres.
An exception will be opened to sectors that require the presence of personnel. The one day rest had been determined by the former Libyan leader, Muamar Kadafi, and stopped being complied with once he was ousted. Working hours in Libya are from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm during the summer and from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in winter.
