Brasília – Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated at the closing ceremony of the Summit of South American – Arab Countries, in Brazilian capital Brasília, that, to him, the meeting generated the construction of "strong foundations for the support of foreign relations."
"I have spent half my term in office, up to now, working on international politics, because I do not believe that there is an individual way out for any country in the world," stated Lula, who was very much applauded at that moment.
In the evaluation of the president, a country may have abundance of oil, iron, steel, gold, diamonds or any other natural resources, but "all of these end. What does not end are the solid relations we are capable of building while we are in office," he declared.
