São Paulo – The president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will have a meeting this Tuesday (25), in New York, with the president of the National Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. The two will meet at 11:00 am, as part of the parallel agenda for the heads of state attending the 62nd General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).
The meeting will take place at the UN headquarters, and will focus on bilateral issues between Brazil and the Palestine. Last week, Brazil received a group of 35 refugees who were living in Jordan. In July, the Palestinian government sent a messenger to Brazil to ask for help and advice in establishing peace in the Arab country.
