Brasília – The trade balance surplus in May reached US$ 3.118 billion, a historic monthly record in international trade. Export reached US$ 7.941 billion, against US$ 4.823 billion in import. In the year, the trade balance has already reached a surplus of US$ 11.243 billion – export of US$ 33.979 billion against import of US$ 22.736 billion.
In twelve months, the trade balance has already totalled US$ 28.0 billion – with import of US$ 79.935 billion and import of US$ 51.935 billion.
May registered a historic record in international sales, surpassing the March figure, which had been US$ 7.927 billion.
