São Paulo – Pro-Palestine group Frente em Defesa do Povo Palestino is hosting this Thursday (4) the meeting “Journalism under occupation in Palestine x freedom of expression,” at the headquarters of the Pontifical Catholic University Professors Association (Apropuc) in São Paulo.
The panelists will be journalists Soraya Misleh, communication and press director at the Institute of Arab Culture (Icarabe) and author of a book on Palestine; and PUC-SP professor and Icarabe supervisory board member José Arbex.
Other speakers will include Palestinian journalist and Al Jazeera TV host Mohamed Hamdem; and Rita Freire, who’s also a journalist and the coordinator of communication-oriented initiative Ciranda Internacional de Comunicação Compartilhada.
