São Paulo – Meta announced on Monday (24) the availability of its artificial intelligence (AI) virtual assistant in Arabic, allowing users in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to use the service in their native language.
“Millions of users in Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen can now access Meta AI in Arabic, across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger,” the company reported.
Meta said users in the MENA region now have access to text and image generation, as well as image animation in Arabic. “Coming soon, Meta AI will get multimodal tools, including simultaneous dubbing for Reels, AI image editing, and ‘Imagine Me,’” the statement says.
To celebrate, Meta has launched “Elevating Every Moment”, a campaign featuring top creators from the MENA region showcasing AI’s creative potential and providing practical tips for users, alongside an educational AI series on Meta Arabia’s Facebook page.
In 42 countries
The company said that Meta AI is now available across 42 countries in 13 languages, with nearly 700 million users. Users can find the virtual assistant by tagging “@Meta AI” in chats on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger to ask for suggestions or get answers to questions.
