São Paulo – The Brazilian company of metallic structures, Medabil, is going to expand their activiies in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. Medabil has three units in the state, two in the city of Nova Bassano and one in Nova Araçá.
With an investment of US$ 13.96 million, the company is going to increase their installed capacity of 35,000 tonnes per year to 45,000 tonnes per year. The investment will generate 400 direct jobs.
The company has about 1,150 workers and employs 40% of the workforce from the cities where it is installed, according to information from the government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
Medabil works with construction, planning and installing of metallic structures of pre-planned buildings for factories, shopping centres and supermarkets, amongst others. This is the greatest producer in this segment in the country. The forecasted revenue for this year is of US$ 139.62 million.
