Middle East received record foreign direct investment
The flow of foreign direct investment to the region reached US$ 60 billion in 2006, an increase of 44% over 2005. In North Africa, investment totalled US$ 23 billion, growth of 72%. Brazil, in turn, has become the 12th largest world investor. This information was disclosed yesterday by the Unctad.
