Rio de Janeiro – The secretary for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Renewable Fuels to the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy, Márcio Félix, spoke this Friday (30) in favor of a change in the Onerous Transfer of Rights Law that governs reserves under concession to Petrobras from the federal government since 2010. The goal is to attract new partners to explore pre-salt area reserves. “The admission of partners is a natural inference. The amount [under Onerous Transfer] is such that it will require a very high investment level in order to be monetized. It could be a financial partner or an industry business,” Félix said.
