More than 30 small companies are interested in oil fields in the Northeast of Brazil
For the first time small sized companies will be able to participate in a bidding of the National Petroleum Agency to operate oil fields. The process involves 17 marginal areas in the states of Bahia and Sergipe, in the Northeast of Brazil, which have already been exploited by Petrobras. Each well may produce up to 100 barrels per day. Regional development is one of the objectives of the project.
