São Paulo – The European Union is going to grant Morocco 80 million euros for the financing of projects turned to economic and social development, human rights and good governance in the Arab country. The value should be added to the 190 million euros the group sends to Morocco each year.
The announcement was made in a press statement by the European Commission, according to news published by African news agency Panapress. At a meeting between both parties, last week, a new action plan was adopted for greater economic integration between the European Union and Morocco.
The plan also includes objectives like consolidation of respect to human rights and democratic principles in the country, the improvement of governance and more active participation of the civil society in government decisions.
