São Paulo – Morocco’s minister of Sports, Rachid Talbi Alami has said, this Thursday (14) that his country will make a bid to host the FIFA 2030 World Cup. Morocco has lost in its bid to host the 2026 edition of the World Cup, with the triple candidacy by the United States, Mexico and Canada being selected. Brazil voted for Morocco in the dispute.
“After and order of his majesty king Mohammed VI, we will make a bid to organize the 2030 World tournament,” said Alami to the press. It will be the sixth time that Morocco bids to host the FIFA World Cup. The country contended in 1994, 1998, 2006, 2010 and 2026.
