São Paulo – Motorcycle companies in Brazil produced 88,422 units in April, up 37.3% over the same month of last year, according to data released this Monday (14) by the Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Motorcycles, Mopeds, Bicycles and Similar (ABRACICLO). The numbers reflect the output of the Manaus Industrial Area, in Amazonas, where the plants are located.
From January to April, 347,959 motorcycles were produced, up 17.6% over the same period of 2017. “Four consecutive months of good results turns the industry toward a sustainable growth,” said ABRACICLO’s president, Marcos Fermanian, in a statement.
The association also reported that exports in April climbed 75.4% in comparison to the same month of last year. Argentina was the main market, followed by the United States, Colombia, Mexico and Australia.
