São Paulo – The 23rd edition of the Brazilian National Arabian Show, which brings together the best horses of the breed, will take place between November 09 and 14 at the Sociedade Hípica Paulista, in São Paulo. The event is organized by the Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association (ABCCA).
The animals that participate in the show also participated in 22 classification rounds throughout the country. The forecast this year is to exceed the 2003 figure by almost 50% and reach around US$ 1.7 million in business deals, including exports of animals and semen.
According to the president of the ABCCA, Luciano Cury, the fair will be a great opportunity for those interested in this market to close important deals, as over 300 international investors, who come to Brazil prepared to purchase breeding mares, foals and fillies with great genetic potential and chances to be champions, have already confirmed presence at the event.
The ABCCA invested over US$ 270,000 in organization of the event and hopes for over 3,000 visitors during the week. On Saturday (13) the official auction, promoted by horse breeding farm Rach Stud, belonging to the Saliba family, will take place, further increasing the volume of business closed during the event.
